Epic Win: TV’s Bloopers & Practical Jokes

May. 15, 2010

Submitted by Liz T, who just had a Freudian slip on TV.

Hosted by Dick Clark and Ed McMahon. I loved the bloopers but hated the practical jokes.

It’s like The Soup, but with a bad laugh track instead of witty commentary. Just proves that Joel McHale stood on the shoulders of giants to get where he is today.

Submitted by Berg, who doesn’t care about streaks on the china

A theme song among theme songs. That dainty beginning always makes me miss the 80s.

Epic Win: Swanson TV Dinners

Apr. 19, 2010

Submitted by Nina M, who has a full set of stainless tableware!

Wow, what a treat it was to sit in front of the TV on a Sunday night with a Swanson TV dinner sitting before me on my TV tray watching CHiPs.

The ancestor of the Hot Pocket. Win!

Epic Win: Orange VHS Tapes

Aug. 14, 2009

Untitled

Submitted and Written by WerewolfCyote

There once was a time when “Nick” meant something. During that time, an orange tape meant pure happiness.

WerewolfCyote gets it. The orange tapes weren’t significant for their color, but for what they stood for. The Nickelodeon glory days ended a long time ago. If you look closely at the photo, there are some pretty win choices there too: Harriet the Spy, Ren and Stimpy, and Are You Afraid of the Dark?.

Since it’s Friday, I thought we could reminisce about Nick together. More videos after the jump.
