WTF Friday: Puppy Surprise

May. 21, 2010

Submitted by J Gore, who can’t unsee this puppy birth canal

In real life this “surprise” would be covered in placenta and slick as a rain-soaked highway. What was probably pitched as a plush easter-egg became a bizarre lesson about the miracle of life. It’s more than a little weird that you have to get elbow deep in this dog to birth puppies.

Epic Win: Math Keyboards

May. 5, 2010

Submitted by Amanda L, who has an oddly touch-centric relationship with her gadgets

Didn’t we all learn how to add and subtract with one of these? =D For some reason I had an obsession with the way the keys felt when you pressed them down, it was way more engrossing than the math problems themselves. I’d put all my fingers on a row and just press down over and over. It was so firm yet soft, like pressing on a plastic covered cloud. (Why yes…I AM still weird to this day.)

Epic Win: Fisher-Price Stove Top

May. 5, 2010

Submitted by Curt M, who is making a melted crayon sandwich as we speak

Complete with dual variable burners and a bell timer, this stove was always in any respectable plastic-chef’s cooking arsenal (mine included). I think salt and pepper shakers were supposed to go in those two notches on the top
